The great irony of Juliana (spoilers)

AFAIC Juliana is a baddie - her own selfish hyper-emotionalism results in her making vile choices, like letting Joe Blake leave with the tape, or shooting George Dixon. And she objects to doing anything more than the absolute minimum for the resistance(s). Had the resistance had no hold on her, she'd be quite capable of being a collaborator provided she could feel good about herself.

And yet if she didn't make those decisions, the next war could not have been averted.

did u miss something?

Gary started it, he wanted to kill her despite told not to, with the Resistance(Gary prob spread false info that Jule killed that woman) and the Kempeitai after her , the only way to stay alive is to go over to the Reich. Put yourself in her shoes and u will know thats the only choice she have left. Later she was forced to work for the Resistance or be killed so she help them reluctantly and then they still wanted to kill her so hows that make her a baddie?

Gary is the baddie.

reply

If she hadn't let Joe go with the film, she wouldn't have been viewed with suspicion in the first place. That some members of the resistance wanted to kill her didn't mean that she was a goodie.

reply

Yet she is and the MITHC at the end confirmed this when he said in every version of the films it was her pure actions they caused a butterfly effect changing other people's actions to stop the war. It was always consistently her.

reply

There's either no reason for her to trust anyone or there is reason for her to trust some in all factions.

AFAIC, she is the best person in that universe.

If this is Locke, then who's in there?

The great irony of Juliana is that we are led to believe by the man in the high castle that she was needed to prevent WWIII when in fact had she been killed by the resistance(after she betrayed them at the end of S1) the conversation with Thomas would never had happened nor would it of been recorded and John Smith would have delivered the film that stopped WWIII anyways.

reply

But it was Juliana (in the other time dimension) who provided the film which stopped wwIII.
