Hawthorne Abendsen and the films question*spoilers*
Where is Hawthorne Abendsen getting the films from? Traveling back and forth like Tagomi, or is there another traveler giving them to him?

Well, they don;t actually know where the films come from.
I think there are at least a few travelers that do what Tagimi did. They bring an archive reel back when they travel
I think there is more than one because I think the films are found at various locations.
If this is Locke, then who's in there?
Yes, we know for sure now that more people than Tagomi cross timelines. It's probably where Abendsen gets the films, whether he's the one crossing over or not. And of course, that's why we see Trudy in the Season 2 finale.

So, he is able to cross over, I got that. I guessed that early on, after Tagomi's story arc and then it was then reinforced by the final scene in the finale. But, did Hitler realize he has the ability? Seems to me like perhaps he did, which suggests his obsession with locating Abendsen, or, "all is lost." But perhaps not...
But it'll be interesting to actually learn more about the ability to cross over. I mean Abendsen had what appeared to be hundreds of film rolls, visiting hundreds of alternate realities! Surely he had help.
Sorry for the double post, but thought of something else interesting. Spoilers below...
I wonder why Abendsen set fire to so many film rolls? Becasue those alternate realities were no longer viable? He took away only a dozen or so. Maybe those films he saved from burning are the alternate realities which might still come to pass?
