Questions..

At the very end..Were those movies Lem handed to Tagomi the same ones he put in the back of the pick-up when he was picking up the man in the high castle after he burnt down the warehouse?
Were they movies of the alternate reality with Juliana and his son ?

Why were Tagomi and Juliana the only characters in both realities?
Did it have anything to do with Tagomi reading the I-Ching and using that necklace as a talisman?
When we saw them in alternate reality, were we seeing them in the vid version of "The Grasshopper lies Heavy".? In the PKD novel, The Grasshopper Lies Heavy is the novel within the novel ..so the version we were watching was a movie within a movie?

When the man in the high castle was complimenting Juliana before he let her see her sister at the end, was he telling her she was special she controlled her own destiny by not following the script?

I dunno, lots of deepidees..deep ideas..I know..

While I am in no way involved with the show I will give you my opinion based on having watched and re-watched both seasons. I really love this show.

I believe that yes, those are the same films that Abendsen (tmihc) gave Lem. I find it interesting that out of all the films that were destroyed in the fire, he saved those few. There must be significant things in them that involve Tagomi which he want him to see. It would be interesting if they were of Juliana and his son.

There is something special about Juliana and Tagomi. Abendsen said as much to Juliana. He'd seen her in many films and mentions her incredible mind. Perhaps she is able to "leap" timelines also but has not discovered this about herself yet. There is a pre show reference to an accident where Juliana was hit by a bus and she was in the hospital for a log time. Perhaps she was in a coma in the hospital and lived in an alternate timeline but has no memory of it. Perhaps that is how she ended up with Tagomi's son. I always found it interesting that Tagomi took a chance on her to give her a job despite connections and suspicions of working with the resistance as Inspector Kido warned him about. Tagomi also seems to have felt something when he picked up her necklace. He had no way of knowing it was hers because it was dropped by Frank. Yet he was attached to it sort of how he is attached to her; then it turns out she is married to her son. It is like a unconscious, psychic feeling you get about someone in your life, the way Tagomi was willing to take a chance on her and give her a job.

Also, I believe her sister, Trudy, being alive at the end is an alternate timeline Trudy. She saw her sister Trudy get shot and she saw her body rotting with all of those corpses in the burial pit so she has to be an alternate timeline Trudy. Trudy mentioned to Juliana about "finding a way out", that could be it, being able to leap timelines. I spoke about in another post on here the idea that you could only travel and exist in an alternate timeline where your alternate self was dead.

In Tagomi's alternate timeline, Juliana mentions he was headed to the bridge implying that he was going to commit suicide and everyone was surprised to see him after he was gone for so long and he seemed different; happier. In the alternate timeline, Tagomi probably jumped off the bridge and died which is how he was able to go to that timeline and exist in it. If his alternate was not dead then he theoretically would run into his alternate in that timeline, except in the theory of alternate timelines in physics he would not have been allowed to travel to that timeline because two versions of the same individual cannot exist in the same timeline, therefore Tagomi cannot choose what timeline he travels to because he can only travel to the one he ceased to exist in because of death. He also cannot go to a timeline that he never existed in at all, i.e. his parents never got together and created him. The same would work for Juliana, Trudy, Frank, George Dixon and Joe; all people seen in the films.

Yes
Were they movies of the alternate reality with Juliana and his son ?
Unknown
Why were Tagomi and Juliana the only characters in both realities?
They probably weren't. However, there are more than two anyway and Juliana figures in all/most of them.

I think it's closer to regardless of the script, Julian didn't change.

If this is Locke, then who's in there?
