I'm watching season two, episode one of The Man in the High Castle. It's even better than season one! One of the songs on the radio is Calendar Girl (1961), music by Neil Sedaka who was Jewish, and Howard Greenfield, who was openly gay. I think this might be a mistake, how could they survive the Holocaust if the Nazis won?
shareThere were a lot of Jews who survived. Frank is Jewish and he met a family who are Jewish. As for Greenfield he probably wouldn't have been openly gay.
shareWasn't that scene in the Pacific states? There were quite a few Jews there; Frank for one, and the Mark, the man with two kids that helped Frank with his Jewish faith. They kept it all hidden of course, except for when Frank's heritage was finally discovered by Kido.
As for gays, the world has been quietly tolerating them for many centuries as long as they kept to themselves. The Nazis were rife with them and were fine as long as they didn't parade themselves in front of der Führer.
