So Alexa Davalos is leaving the show? What a pity.

She is only in 13 episodes, unlike Luke Kleintank, who is in 17 episodes.

Assuming that it's correct that she's leaving, I wonder if that is connected to Spotnitz's removal as showrunner.
shareThat makes zero sense as she's the lead character. Maybe they just cut her screen time?
share I'm not sure how that works. I get that she got a lot of criticism but I still found her a capable lead. The Obergruppenfurer is the real star, hopefully they expand on his character.

I have no idea if IMDB is correct here. It may well be. But I have found IMDB to often be incorrect on episode appearances prior to release of cable series, particularly steaming shows. Just before Luke Cage was released, I was disappointed when IMDB only showed Rosario Dawson appearing in one episode. She appeared in eight, and it is now corrected.

And there you go! Updated to 20 episodes for her!
sharePity if true. Excellent low key acting. Americans back then even now don't have to jump up and down and get excited all the time to prove they can act. She was perfectly cast in my opinion and given some self defence skills via Japan I suppose so good twist. Only seen first three episodes but very good. Can tell a bit of Ridley Scott influence even if he is much older now.
sharePersonally, I think she is a miscast. Very low facial expression capabilities. She feels cold and unsympathetic. Hard to identify with her as a viewer.
shareJust watched s1 and hope this is true. I really didn't care for her character, very unbelievable and just fairly dumb in general. I know that is the writing, but her acting as well was very meh.
shareIn addition to all the other speculation in this thread (and that's all it is), I would like to point out that important characters do sometimes go missing for 1 or more episodes without "leaving the show".
The Tyrell Wellick character from Mr. Robot is a good example. There was also one episode of Mr. Robot where Elliot (the main character) didn't appear at all.
Brevity is the soul of wit.
