Juliana should have kept (spoiler)

Spoilers below!!

Juliana should have kept the tape, with Thomas' claim that his parents lied about his health. Yeah, she didn't let Dixon turn it over, so Smith was still free to stop the war.

However...

That tape still had value; it could have been used to blackmail or manipulate Smith. Thomas turned himself in, so the Resistance can't try to 'flip' Smith by offering to protect Thomas... but then again, Juliana doesn't know that yet.

The tape had value.. she shouldn't have destroyed it.

Sometimes fires don't go out when you're done playin' with them.

If she hadn't destroyed it, it could always be used which is not something Juliana would ever want.

I may not agree with the decision but it fits with who she is.

If one has an agenda at all, there is no way to trust Juliana since she will always try to do the right/moral thing to do.

If I were you, I'd wanna be me too.

Which is why the Man in the High Castle didn't want her killed. He watched a lot of those tapes, and in every one of them he saw with her in it, Julianna's constant was her decision to always try to do the moral thing. He also stated in every tape that did not result in SF getting nuked, Dixon was dead. I think that's why he pointed her in that direction. He may not have known exactly what would happen, but he was betting on Julianna playing a big part in preventing WWIII.
