In the TMitHC timeline, Korea is thus presumably still considered part of Japan, with the ethnic Korean population probably having been even further reduced/displaced by Japanese colonists (in real life there were an estimated 700,000 Japanese colonists living in Korea by 1945, not including military personnel -- http://shinku.nichibun.ac.jp/jpub/pdf/jr/JN2409.pdf).
