the problem with this show is it can't HOOK anyone

i love the idea of this series so i was already going to watch it. i tried to get a few friends to watch it but there wasn't a single scene that hooked them into watching it.

banshee i recommended after showing the opening scene where the sheriff and hood meet

hooked

game of thrones white walker at the start of episode 1 hooked

breaking bad walt and his confession tape in his underwear hooked

walking dead the car chase at the start hooked.

this? would have been a lot better if they showed DC getting nuked or something like that.

They do show that in season 2 on a flashback...

i can guess that since the episode is titled detonation i believe?

problem is thats 16 episodes into the show!

yeah i get people have different tastes but everyone wants that scene that shot that intro to get them hooked and into it.

i try to tell people about the show and there isn't a single moment in the first season i can think of that is worth talking about. like i said a WOW moment. i guess the closest would be the finale with the trade minister seeing the alternate world but that would ruin the entire season lol

I FFwd half the show tbh because is way too *beep* slow to deliver what it is supossed to.

This hooked me in the first 8 minutes. GoT I thought was lame fantasy crap, only continued watching cause everyone was raving about it. Breaking Bad I watched the first episode, it took me over a year to go on to the second episode. Walking Dead, started out ok and got better. Sorry, people like different stuff.

Game of Thrones episode one was pure trash. Haven't watched the series for a year because of that sht pilot.
