Confusion about Brandstrup's Husband - SPOILERS

So if Caroline's husband's car was found with blood, etc. and they arrested him for Claudio 'the Gigolo's murder, then how come Oliver confessed to killing him about a tell-all book so he wouldn't tarnish Viktoria's image? Why didn't they ever revisit Caroline's husband or release him, or did I miss something?

reply

They probably did release him, but it wasn't necessary to have a scene showing it as it wouldn't move the plot forward.

reply

Caroline's husband hit him with a shovel but left him alive. Oliver poisoned him. That's how he actually died. Before Oliver was revealed as the killer, poison was already established as the cause of death.

reply

I'd forgotten about the shovel. He should probably still have been charged with assault, then.

reply

Pretty sure he was. We never saw him after that.
