Hardly a mention of Mette in any of the threads here. By the end of season 2, from a woman's POV she had gotten really annoying to me. Sure, Martin was a screw up in many ways, but when he was good he was very very good, which is more than can be said for a lot of husbands. But, then, right at the end of season 2 Mette finally decides she does not love Martin at all. So rather than try to work things out, she prefers to raise 5 small children alone, including baby twins. Very unrealistic.

Martin was really giving it all. The old Martin would have encouraged Pernille He was very available to his family. And, it looks pretty likely that he poisoned his nemesis (forgot name and what a great actor) because he put all the blame on him. He really lost it. I read the actor is not returning for the 3rd season which is really too bad. He was wonderful!

I loved S2, but this was really lazy writing. The writers wanted the end result (Martin to lose his family) but weren't prepared to work to achieve that result. It was flung in.
