Charlotte Soringer (The Widow) and Saga

How does Charlotte know Saga? I've watched the series 1 all the way through and missed this. Why did Charlotte say she would not talk to Saga when the cops wanted to question Charlotte? She would only talk to Martin.

In the 1st episode. When the body on the bridge was discovered Charlotte was stopped from crossing the bridge with her husband in an ambulance by Saga.
Martin over ruled Saga and let the ambulance through. Hence Charlotte refusing to cooperate with her when questioned.

Why does Charlotte wear that cropped wig ??

Charlotte Soringer talked to Saga at the bridge right at the beginning. She was the one who asked to be let through because her husband was already in the ambulance trying to go to the other side to get his new heart. Saga refused - that's why Charlotte wouldn't talk to Saga.

The confrontation at the bridge happened in the American version as well. At least Dexter Morgan was taught by his adoptive father to fake human emotions he didn't feel.

Saga doesn't seem to know how counter productive it is to offend people. Like when Martin spotted a video camera in a fur store. The owner gave them the last 48 hours of footage showing the killer and his future victim. Then she tells the man he will be charged with a crime for not having a permit. He told her his store windows had been smashed three times already and the police did nothing. She tells him property crimes have a low priority and makes her disinterest crystal clear..

She makes it tough on very police person who follows in her wake. "I did I see the robbers? No didn't see a thing Officer Friendly."

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

The difference between Saga and Dexter is that she is not a psychopath. She probably has some form of aspergers which would explain her lack of empathy and social skills. Also, her childhood trauma probably has something to do with it.
