What is this NONSENSE that Kim Bodnia won't be in the 3rd season?

I just read this, but can't find more info, why? When a series works, is mainly for two reasons: Amazing writing, but also, amazing actors! the characters work together, how can they change this?

Not that I wouldn't love him to be in season 3. But I can see how it would work, considering how his story ended in season 2. He doesn't have to necessarily be a main character. Although I wouldn't mind him having a guest appearance.

Shows I've watched http://www.imdb.com/list/ls072583934/ Any suggestions?

Apparently true:

I'm sure they can find a way to incorporate him into the narrative for season 3 as the did Jens in season 2.

Just watched the first episode of season 3. Saga misses him so much, that I actually teared up a bit :')

I was hoping there would be a chance of Saga visiting Martin in prison in the new season but based on the premiere it doesn't seem like it… It was touching to see how much she still thinks about him, though.

I am from Denmark. As far as I've read, Kim Bodnia was supposed to be in season 3 and was excited about it, but when he read the script, he opted out, because he didn't like what the writers wanted to do with his character.
I personally don't know what the writers wanted to do, because they apparently rewrote the script when Kim Bodnia left.
I read they wanted to bring in a Norwegian police detective as well, but I don't know if that is gonna happen. No Norwegians were in the first episode of the season.

Third season premiered Sunday in Denmark. Martin (Kim Bodnia) was not in it, but they referenced his character quite a lot. Apparently he was sentenced 10 years in prison and Saga obviously misses him, but she does not want to visit him.

Watching the first hour, I believe that season 3 will be good. I am gonna miss the conversations between Martin and Saga, but I am actually looking forward to Saga being Saga with (a) new partner(s).

This is really a great loss for me. I hope they can keep the level of the previous seasons without Martin's character, though I find it difficult.

At least, this gives me the strength to wait until the end of season and judge if it's worth watching. With Kim Bodnia in, I'd be hanged week after week.

having watched the first 4 eps of III I can honestly say ( and I'm a big Martin fan) that you don't miss his character, the new dynamics and charcters are sooo good. The new guy is terrific.

ok, im ready now!

I couldn't see how it would work either, but I was so happy with the choice of Thure Lindhardt as his replacement. Henrik is a fantastic character and the storylines are as fascinating and dark as ever. Plus Nicolas Bro just turned up, one of all-time favourite Danish actors!! AWESOME STUFF!

In an interview on Digital Spy with Kim Bodnia, there seemed to be some suggestion that he might return in a later series, after getting out of prison. But maybe they just want to keep his fans on board ...
