Saga's mother (Spoilers)

So I read in the summary for tonight's episode that it turns out Saga's mother was murdered.

I wonder if it's possible that Saga's boss and previous creepy colleague has something to do with it? Maybe they are trying to frame Saga to get rid of her? I've always found it strange why Saga's boss dislikes her so much.

reply

The last time her mom went to the police was to file a (false) report against Saga, saying she had threatened her. She talked to Rasmus, the creepy colleague. I think it's very likely that Saga's boss and Rasmus will try to frame Saga for the murder, on the strength of the fabricated complaint.

reply

I think it is more likely that her mother staged her own suicide to look like a murder.

reply

That is also a very interesting theory!! Either way, I don't think it was a coincidence that we saw Saga's mom cooperate with her boss and Rasmus so soon before her death. All those three are people who want to see Saga's downfall.

And her death does seem a little too convenient. Almost too good to be true (Yes it's no surprise I didn't like her)

reply

I was also thinking along these lines: given that her husband died and Saga kept refusing contact with her, she had no one else left to manipulate and might have felt she no longer had any purpose in life, thus killing herself. She wanted to punish Saga, so before her suicide she made sure to report Saga for threatening her so she would be a suspect. Even more so if she managed to make her suicide look like a murder.

reply

Yes, it makes sense. What an absolute heartless b**ch :) I felt so sorry for Saga in the last episode. So many people seem to want to bring her down… And the few people who actually cares about her and understand her disappear (Martin and now Hans).

reply

Can someone tell me, does Saga's new partner have to give an alibi for her whereabouts when the 'murder' happened? Does he have to say they were sleeping with each other? That would be embarrassing...

reply

That was my first thought too!

But no, interestingly her alibi was different. She had received an anonomous tip about the case they are working on so she was at the graveyard to meet that person at the time of the murder. But I'm not sure she can prove it as there were no witnesses...

Phew, that interrogation scene with Internal Affairs was intense. Both Sofia and Thure brought their A game to this episode ;-)

Athhajar ma yeroon.
