Especially in the last episode I think it was more than hinted that they are starting to have (romantic) feelings for each other. I might be wrong but I feel like it's the direction the story is going…
What are people's thoughts on that?
I have to say, I'm a little disappointed. I think it's a lazy plot twist and I never expected we would see it on this show. The thing I've always loved about it was the complex and platonic relationship between the male and female lead. That almost NEVER happens. And it was (is) one of the things to make the show great, IMO.
However, I also like their chemistry and I do understand why it feels like the next "natural" step. And I enjoy the idea that Saga could help Henrik get over the loss of his family and Henrik could finally be the person who doesn't abandon Saga. (Although they clearly don't need to be romantically involved for this to happen).
So I'm a little 50/50. Anyway, what do people think?
Well, they are not getting married anytime soon ;-) I think they are beyond "romantically involved", to me they seem to cling to each other to stay sane (or sane adjacent) ;-) hehe
Since we already had the platonic female/male friendship with Saga and Martin, I am okay with them going a different route with her and Henrik. I would have been upset if they tried to put her and Martin together romantically, but I am fine with this pairing. And I think it's cute that they are opening up to each other. Like when lonewolf Saga turns around in bed and looks at him tenderly. She is letting her guard down in a way she hasn't before. And I found it hard not to be touched when Henrik says, with obvious relief, "I thought you were going to leave" when Saga was going to the bathroom.
Considering the disaster of a relationship Saga had in season 2, I think it's good that they show that there is someone she actually is compatible with. Knowing this show however, things might not end well for them.

Yes, I admit to worrying about Henrik, especially if Saga finds out about his "habit". But who knows, maybe this time round she will cover for her partner. She will be shattered if she has to repeat the experience she had with Martin. Even more so as it looks as though she will lose her mentor, Hans.
Henrik is perfect for her. In his own way he is as honest as she is and him being so open with her is something new for Saga. The fact that he cares about her is beginning to touch her, witness her look at him in bed but at a time when she needs to develop that relationship, she is going to have to come to terms with Hans' misfortune.

I worry about that too. But we know that Saga has ben capable of looking the other way for a smaller transgression, if it's someone she likes/cares about. He is not hurting anyone with his illegal pills, it's not in the same league as murder for instance, so I hold my fingers crossed that she will not turn on him for that.
Above all, I think the reason Henrik is perfect for Saga is that he will not preasure her. As we saw in season 2, the dealbreaker with Jacob was that Saga thought he didn't give her the space she needed. She felt suffocated. She is a loner and workhorse at heart, anyone who is to be with her must accept that.
Jacob seemed to really like Saga but he didn't understand her and for her the relationship was nothing but a way to easily available sex and maybe an attempt at leading a 'normal' life.

I might be wrong but I think Saga already knows about it? In the episode (I think it was the one before the last one) where Henrik tries to quit the pills, he acts irrationally throughout most of the episode. Saga clearly notices his symptoms and comments on them. We also see her standing quietly and reflect about it. With her deduction skills I would assume she already knows and am suddenly going to comment on it in a completely nonchalant "I knew all the time" kind of way. But again, I could be wrong. And either way, it definitely will be interesting to see how she deals with it… If we get to see it at all. Only two episodes left and still so many loose ends…

That's a good point. That's actually another thing I really like about the show: How it depicts not only the complications but also the positive relationships it's possible for a "socially awkward" person like Saga to have. And I like the pairing more and more with each episode. It was so heartbreaking when Henrik found Saga in Hans' empty hospital bed.

I agree. Saga has managed to forge at least 3 strong relationships that we have seen: Hans, Martin and Henrik. Not bad for someone that they always point out is so different and bad at social interaction.

Such a touching scene. She really hit rock bottom. At least he is there for her.

I adore Henrik, but am frightened for him. Remember everyone that saga ever loves ends up leaving/going away. Henrik's future doesn't look bright. ok, im ready now!
I really hope they don't get rid of him when/if there is a next season (I haven't seen anything confirming or denying), he fits so well with Saga, and it doesn't even have to be romantically though that seems the way they are going, which I am fine with, with Hans gone Saga really needs someone to care for her. He's always got her back, tells her to stand up for herself when Linn is being hard on her, plus he seems as smart as her, he's able to make those really hard to see connections that she did throughout the first two seasons.
I agree, I hope Henrik stays for another season. Henrik is as interesting and complex as Saga and the only character that isn't put off by her. They work well together, have good chemistry as a working or romantic couple.
I started off not liking Henrik all that much, but ended up loving him after the development of his character revealed all his complex problems. The ending of the series was one of the most heart-rending I have ever seen – it was a perfect ending for the entire series, in fact.
