Brilliant Season 3

Just wanted to say how brilliant I thought this was, after seeing the final two episodes last night. The ending made me weep. It's the best of three outstanding seasons.

I started off not taking to Henrik very much, but thought he grew to such an interesting character – we had two badly damaged people drawn to each other, and thank goodness there was an optimistic ending!

Brilliant acting and story telling…

Emotionally, this was the best one for me. By the end of the series, I too liked Henrik more than Martin as a character.

couldn't agree more. was so disappointed that Martin wasn't coming back, as I loved his character, but this season has been incredible, and Henrik is just great

No, Season 3 is not a patch on Seasons 1 and 2. The actual murder mystery was a bit of a mess at times (indeed, much of it really makes no sense), with Saga reduced to being rather ineffectual for much of the narrative. And while I did like Henrik, his back story was too rushed (especially in the final episode) and he is no Martin.

Snakes on a Crane

This is surely a matter of personal opinion – and I happen to disagree. Frankly, I was getting rather tired of Martin by the end of season 2, and Henrik was a refreshing change (perhaps not initially, but certainly as the season progressed). I did feel that Saga was given more depth in season 3, and I saw more facets to her personality. So – fantastic season, in my view, with a beautifully constructed, emotional ending that made me weep.

I find myself inclined to disagree it was messy, and I didn't like what they did with Saga's character. For me, it has nothing to do with Martin's absence. The whole feel of the season regressed to a soapy tale which I disliked.

Great way to put it OP. There was a sense of let down with the crime story which stunk in an otherwise perfect show.
