Who killed.... Spoilers (kinda)

... Sagas mother? They didn't wrap that up. Pretty huge cliffhanger if you ask me.

Life is a big cliffhanger. Great ending.

I can't be bothered to have a sig any-more.

reply

I didnt say the ending was bad. Just curious :)

It might be a next season....

I think she actually commited suicide and tried to frame Saga.

reply

She killed herself and framed Saga.

reply

It would be a pretty cool twist if it actually was Saga...

reply

Thats what I thought as well. They want us to believe the mother framed Saga. But I think it might have been her after all. Remember the autopsy guy coming in with some kind of evidence to the police chief? We never got told what that might be. My guess is that next season will involve a trial while saga and her partner try to hunt down his kids.

I think the evidence the ME had was he was letting Linn know about the clay covered skeleton aka Henrik's wife, I don't think he had any relevant information to Saga's mother. I think Saga's mother committed suicide and framed Saga, she was obviously planting the seeds of doubt when she made up the lies about Saga threatening her at her house when Saga never even went there. And a nail in a car? Hair would have been much more believable but who leaves a fingernail behind, plus a fingernail is much easier for a forensics team to spot, easy evidence. Like you my guess would also be that there will be a trial. I'm not sure how or if grand jury's even exist in Swedish law, but there would be enough to send it to trial based on her mom's testimony, the nail, the obvious animosity/hatred Saga had for her mother. And while the trial is going on, Saga and Henrik both on leave/suspension go looking for his kids when Saga's not in court of course.

reply

I never realized that the skeleton the pathologist showed Saga was Henrik's wife. Duh, this is why I watch each series twice.

reply

Except we see Saga being drawn off by the fake message whilst her mother is dying, and waiting for the non-existent informer.

That would be a re-write of Saga's character, I doubt even in her dreams she'd ever consider this. She lied when she reported her parents for sexual abuse when she believed her sister's life to be in danger but it seems that after her sister's suicide she's been questioning that decision.

Whenever her mother spoke to her, Saga seemed petrified. She stayed as far away as possible, even after her mother's death - otherwise she would have gone to investigate herself.

I's just a flying saucer, Ed. We gotta go.

The show has a tradition of leaving certain things unresolved. If you watched s2, you know what I mean. The finale last time had even more cliffhangers - Well, I thought it was cliffhangers but then it was just never mentioned again! So we were left without answers.

We saw that Saga suspected her mother of framing her so I suppose that's what we're supposed to believe. And it does make sense. But we didn't get any details or proof.

reply

What cliffhanger in season 2 are you refering to?

reply

… Did you watch it? We never got to know the main culprit behind it all. Who was the guy who executed Gertrud in the end because she "failed"? This was never touched upon again.

reply

The obvious solution would be suicide and trying to blame saga. My theory on proving something is wrong would be an alibi for the night her mother told she got threatened. I'd have to whatch it again but maybe Henrik was with her that night? This could prove her mother lied.
As I was pondering this possibility I got another idea: Sagas mother told Rasmus she got threatened by Saga. Rasmus has a motif to frame Saga - but I'm not sure if he hates her enought to go that far.
