I was gonna start watching this, but feel it is a total waste of time.
First I learned there were 3 seasons.
30 hours to tell a story, really???
I no longer have patience for this, I prefer shows that go to the point, such as "The Night Manager"
Anyway, I could go with 3 seasons, but then I just read here it needs a fourth season to "wrap things up", in other words, it ended (so far) with major cliffhangers
Just like stupid gringo shows do 99,9% of the time
Too bad ...
But, I might be wrong (I hope I am), please comment, and tks.
As a stupid gringo, let me tell you you're missing on of the best series ever, if you can deal with subtitles. The character of Saga is brilliant, and it's worth watching just for that. I'm with you about having to watch 10 episodes to get the story. I like seeing Nile episode, complete story watch the next one, complete story, etc. in fact, sometimes I'll skip two part stories in a series I like, just because at that moment, I want a bite size TV snack, not a 10 course meal.
So, if that's how you feel, skip The Bridge.
But for me, there are enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. And season 1 and 2 ARE separate stories, with the same characters.
American Gringo agrees. I like it much better when shows are complete, stand alone, without the tease at the end to bring you back to the next season. If the show is good, I'll come back, without the teaser. If the show sux, I won't come back no matter how you end it.
I AM fine though, with taking 10 ot more episodes to tell a story, if it's done right. It's just not that easy to do it right.
It's actually 10 hours to tell a story and it happened three times until now. Yes, there was an unnecessary cliffhanger at the end of the weak third season. Honestly, you can skip it and watch the first two.

Two to three hours of TV every day...holy! I do on the weekend with Netflix, especially binge watching, but even then I probably wouldn't admit it.🙄
