Subtle lib propaganda

- President is in his third term, reference to Trump supposedly
- President abolished the FBI, reference to Trump supposedly
- Antifa massacre referenced, inference is that antifa were attacked without provocation
- The only real bad guys seen on screen are three white dudes killing people for not being American enough and killing a guy for being Chinese
- All of the press team is minority and/or women
- Black woman is who kills the president

Disappointing from Garland

reply

That's a massive amount of propaganda.

reply

Yeah, but's it subtle though, often unstated as in just casting choices or understated as in small, random mentions. It used to be more just open political messaging, but this is more devious really, and clearly intentional as it all goes in one way and is present throughout.

reply

[deleted]

I can't help that you're blind to a political and social agenda that is clearly and aggressively being pushed by just about every western government and major multinational corporation.

reply

You're obviously just brainwashed. I mean, you are going against the grain of the government, media, entertainment, academia, healthcare, law enforcement, the courts, etc. Learn to think for yourself, dude!

reply

I'm trying!

reply

That doesn't sound very "subtle".

reply

So all those things you mention supposedly relate to trump?

Isn't that interesting? Supposedly?

I wonder why that is? Sigmund Freud might have an idea.

reply

No need for Freud.

The FBI has been clearly operating as an ally of the Democrat Party. The biden laptop coverup opertion was ... the most outragious scandal I have ever seen. And it was done AGAINST Trump and the American People.

Thus, a President that abolishes it, is clearly a reference to Trump.

For one example.

reply

Anyone that even mentions the "Biden laptop" is a straight up right winged maga nutball. Any creditability you might have had is gone. You might as well have said the election was stolen. Oh wait, sorry I misspelled it. STOLLEN.

reply

That's a weird thing to say. The laptop has been verified, and I was referring not so much to the laptop as to the FBI's operation to suppress the story during the election.

That's... not in doubt. It's documented with live testimony in front of congress.

So, why would you want to try to claim that costs me credibility?

reply

Nothing would convince you the election wasn't stolen. You thought that the moment Trump claimed it was stolen. Conservatives can't think for themselves. Trump gives you your opinion.

reply

It looks is you who can't think or yourself. So are you really convinced that the Biden laptop story is false? Really?

reply

Nice deflection. Why is it anytime Trump is criticized Biden's name suddenly pops up? Biden is a garbage president and a corrupt piece of trash. That does not make Trump a worthy candidate or a good president. Your deflection is dismissed. Address my point or be on your way.

reply

I think the election was stolen because I saw it happening with my own eyes in real time, not because anyone said it.

And Trump is the only alternative to Biden, I remember you. And he has been the president who has made the best foreign policy, and who hasn't engaged in any war, in the last years, anyway.

This is what you saw with your own eyes. Direct result of Trump’s dismantling of the efficiency of the so-called “Deep State” in an effort to reduce it to the swamp he told you to be fearful of.

He slowed the mail-in ballot process to use as a “stop the steal” campaign tactic.

reply

Yes yes, cry all you want, Trump wins this november and this time demócrats won't be able to do election fraud :)

And no doubt you were convinced that the Hunter Biden laptop was fake. Nobody knows if there was any illegal vote rigging in the 2020 election and we probably never will. But people like you who parrot talking points of the Democratic Party really ought to have more humility at this point, unless of course integrity, dignity, and truth mean nothing to you.

reply

I never commented on the Hunter Biden laptop situation. Also I've never argued Biden being a good president. He is a piece of trash. The difference is though I think Trump is garbage as well. Your baseless accusation about me is noted and consider your non sequitur out of hand and dismissed.

reply

Wait a minute... you're not Non-Sequitur Guy...

reply

How's it weird to say. No information from the laptop has not resulted in any corruption charges for Hunter or Joe Biden. No corruption charges have been filed at all. EVER.

But everyone continues to bring it up as if it's some kind of smoking gun. There's nothing there.

reply

Well, a couple of points.

I brought up the COVER UP of the laptop. Which is a related but sperate issue.

Even if you think there was nothing of interest on the laptop, the fbi, and the cia worked together with big tech and big media to spread DISINFORMATION to the American people during an election, indeed, including the time of VOTING.

My point was about the behavior of the fbi, specificaly how it was hostile to Trump, in teh context of the op.

Like I said, no need for Freud. The FBI was hostile to Trump. Thus, seeing a President who is hostile to the FBI, it seems clear that the movie was suggesting that the President was a TRUMP analogy.

i would be happy to address other points you raised, but it would derail this thread, like crazy.

reply

Of course, because the FBI is working with the Democrats to protect Biden. If you say this like the media and the justice system is real you may also believe in Santa Claus.

And btw, Twiter erased ALL information about the Biden laptop case during the elections for the FBI order, which (independently if there wasn't anything illegal in it) it's a corrupt thing to do, more similar to a Banana Republic than to a democratic state.

But anyway, Trump will win in november and people like you will to shut the fuck up.

reply

Trump lost in 2020. Trump lost yesterday. And Trump loses in November. He's a loser.

reply

Trump won in 2016 and Trump will win this november, if not for his merits simply for the horrible legislature of Biden which has handed him the reelection on a plate.

Cry all you want for it, but that's the reality :P

reply

He lost in 2020. And fails at everything he touches. I'm not crying at all. LOL. I'm laughing at his failure and the blind people that follow the felon.

reply

He won in 2016, and he will win again this november because this time It won't be so easy for democrats to do election fraud. Wait 5 months to cry then :P

reply

People like greentimemusic like wasting hundreds of billions of dollars on immoral wars in Ukraine, Gaza, Syria, etc. They have trouble processing that this sort of carnage, which once was the domain of Republicans, has now shifted to the Democratic Party. They're the warmongers in power at present.

reply

True haha. They have also problems processing Trump did a good work at the office for, between other things, not engaging in any war and seeking for internacional peace.

reply

It's an A24 movie. They're a queer hipster company.

Garland's previous movie was Men (2022) which is about, yeah you guessed it, the horrors women face at the hands of men. I think it's fair to say that Garland is a lefty like many in Hollywood.

I'm not American and I heard from many that this movie wasn't political but it does at times lean into politics. The White American soldiers killing Asian people was a clear example as was the reference to ANTIFA.

I thought the movie was pretty good but yes it's left leaning but not overly so, I can see why some don't think it's too political and why some claim it doesn't pick a side.

reply

I think Men actually presented the toxicity of women too, and both Ex Machina and Annihilation were more balanced, despite maybe superficially seeming not to be, than this movie.

A24 is definitely left of center too, but a lot of their movies are also pretty great (The Witch, Green Room, The Blackcoat's Daughter, Hereditary, etc.).

To me at least, this is kind of a shift to Garland. Maybe a long time coming but still a shift.

reply

I did not find this movie to be overly political.

reply

It had some good idea but was too ambiguous on a lot of the plot points. The ending played out like Antifa's Wet dream. I'm not one to be outraged but it felt pretty horrific and irresponsible.

reply

wow really you think so?

i managed to watch it and not turn into a communist

did i watch it wrong?

reply

LOL!

reply

I never said not to watch it, just that it was interesting how they're trying to be more slick with the manipulation.
