Is this based on an Old Twilight Zone story?

I remember watching an old twilight Zone episode about a meek person who is granted super strength by these aliens, after getting in to a series of mishaps they take away his powers only to be invested with new powers by a different set of aliens

It more closely resembles an older British film titled "The Man Who Could Work Miracles".
