Scary how actors' final things involves voice acting

So apparently, this is the final Robin Williams thing ever? It's spooky that this happens. The last thing the dude who Ernest was did a voice over for that Disney movie and it was an old lady he voiced. Then if my memory serves me correctly, Marlon Brando's last thing he did was a voice over. Arthur Mallet's final film was voice acting in an animated film. What a coincidence!

Imagine something neato here.

No, Jim Varney (who played Earnest) voiced an old man, Cookie the cook in Atlantis.

Paul Newman in Cars and Roddy McDowall in A Bug's Life. But seriously, it's not "scary". It's bound to happen on occasion.

James Stewart in An American Tail: Fievel Goes West

Think that's weird, watch IT again.
Seth Green (as a child character) said he wants to be a comedian when he grows up. Jonathan Brandis' character said he never wanted to grow up.

What is your point!

It is just a coincidence.

This is a film i WILL be watching as it sounds interesting.
Especially with the remaining pythons involved, also out of respect for Robin Williams.

Orson Welles in transformers. James Cockburn in monsters inc.

reply

Actually, Orson Welles' last role was in Somebody To Love. Transformers was right behind.

John Ritter in King of the Hill and Stanley's Dinosaur Round-Up

Don't forget Chris Farley as Shrek. Recorded 90% of the role before his death.

reply

damn, i didn't know that!

It actually makes sense if you think about it. If an actor does two or three around the same time and one of them is a voice over, of course the animated/visual effect film is going to come out later than the other films, because the character they played has to be created visually afterwards.

Also, actors tend to do more animated films as they age (not that that helps explain the Robin Williams example).

If you love the Very Hungry Caterpillar and are proud of it copy this and make it your signature

And don't forget John Candy as well, but Candy recorded his voice drafts for the movie The Magic 7 before he died.
