Obviously the movie didn't make much sense and was totally absurd. But why did the dog suddenly wish for the source of his power to be destroyed? Is that just a dog thing?
I think because he realised the powers were causing problems, so he got rid of them to stop them causing any more troubles.
shareHmm for some reason I thought the dog still had the powers after. But yeah that would make sense lol. He wouldn't have retained them because they were tied to the space ship.

Oh, he definitely retained his powers. The dog has the last lines of the movie.
I think he chose to destroy the source because he was heavily influenced by the wishes of his master.
No, he didn't. Riggle's dog was able to speak as well. Also, the source of the power was housed on the space ship (remember when it briefly malfunctioned).
