There are a lot of movies with a small group trapped in one room but Exam, Saw, My Little Eye and Donkey Punch spring to mind.

Exam, the original Saw and it's sequel and Donkey Punch were all great IMO. Also check out The Disappearance of Alice Creed. Despite having only three actors in the entire thing, it is a quality low budget indie movie in the same room. Great acting and unpredictable plotwise. Also see the foreign film Fermats Room and Cube.

Also The Steam Experiment.

On the poster, it says "Catfish crashes into Saw at 30,000 feet!"

As I've not seen Catfish yet (but plan to, the IMDb description sounds fascinating), I can attest to the Saw-Like qualities.

And indeed, I thought the first 2-3 Saws had pretty solid plots (but the 2nd on started getting a bit too interested in the gore allure of the movies as opposed to clever plot).

I saw parts of Panic Button that DID indeed seem Saw-like.

Such as (spoilers below):

1. When the cockpit door ultimately opened - Saw-like build-up - was the killer on the plane this WHOLE time? Saw I.

2. Discovering the bodies in the luggage compartment. OMG the friends/family members are ALREADY dead! Therefore what was shown on the monitors had ALREADY happened. Saw II.

3. Max wasn't really Max. Kind of Saw III (sort of), who the female doctor was married to, specifically.

I gotta say, there was enough clever misdirection, IMO - to elevate this movie. One part in particular was when Jo pulled Gwen off and then violently broke her neck. I thought surely somehow Jo was involved and a trained agent or some such.

Another movie, Toytanic, that I would recommend to you that others haven't mentioned is Bane.

Another movie I found quite cool but some others came down hard upon. Best to watch it without knowing ANYTHING about it.
