WHITES IS AXED

BBC decide not to make another series. Alan Davis gutted.

I can't blame him. It wasn't a spectacular start but it was cute and I'm sure it was going to get better.

And yet they renewed that dumb "Todd Margaret" and "Episodes." No justice in this world.

I watch the thing on Netflix and was pleasantly surprised by the humor. It's very good to me. I am disappointed by their decision.

Always puzzles me how these recommission decisions are made.

I assume that somebody had enough faith in 'Whites' to give the initial green light, and surely the quality of the finished product was high enough to satisfy ?

Hope the decision to cancel wasn't made due to viewing figures - it was poorly advertised and a little bit hidden away - I missed the first episode, as it happens - but it was up there with the best of the Beeb's recent-ish comedy output.

An excellent cast, sharp writing and balancing sad/funny extremely well...

I share Mr. Davies' frustration at its demise !

Can't understand how this is axed without giving it a chance to mature, when kack like "Green Green Grass" (Sullivan's worse effort) got 4 series.

Unbelievable.

Just started watching, criminal that it was cancelled.

Auntie is famous for keeping crap and getting rid of decent programmes ('2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps' & dropping 'The Fades' being a case in point).
The irony being that they can get bailiffs come to the door for non-payment of a licence is a joke. If we were given the choice of opting in, the BBC would go under...
