ep.5 lesbian

shareSounds hawt.
shareAccording to Western media... no woman is ever straight. Explains the divorce and infidelity rates.
shareEvery other cast member in this show, so far, is straight. Except possibly May, who may be bisexual - but that's speculative and hopefully irrelevant to the trajectory of the plot.
sharelol... so they increased the Rainbow Reich's presence in the show by 12.5 times the national standard in most Western nations?
shareSo by your logic, if a TV shows ever depicts a single gay or lesbian character, it's unacceptable?
Also there are listed 17 main and supporting characters in this show. 1 is a lesbian.
You said every other cast member so far is straight -- so it's inferred the others aren't straight.
No one said anything about something being unacceptable -- but if we are to talk about unacceptable, yes, I do think that if it makes no sense to the overarching story then it has no reason to be there, but so many people are porn-laden these days they indulge in any kind of promotion of degenerate subcultures to sate their unquenchable thirst for their carnal appetites.

What? We know most of them are straight. The only one who might be bisexual is May. But this may not matter anyway.

How is it less acceptable than if she wasn't gay? Plenty of times I've seen TV shows where the characters are shown as straight (ie a relationship is shown), but it doesn't directly play into the plot. Was that wrong?
Also the relationships of Cate do play into her characterisation.
