Well it likes like there's some hope at least:

Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (official facebook):
In case some of you missed the last post about this - The first season of Elvira's Movie Macabre has ended with the final broadcast being last weekend. That's why you can't find it on TV anymore. The entire show (20 episodes + 6 NEW unseen episodes) is being released on DVD. A second season is still being considered. Hope that clears things up for everyone!

I do hope they consider a second season since the first one was so much fun. Quick question, I'm assuming she's saying where getting a boxed set for season 1 and not the rest of the episodes released in individual double-episode DVDs right?

Oh man! I hope it gets another season.

My friend and I catch her show at midnight on Saturday nights and we laugh our heads off at her witty comments.

So funny.

She isn't retiring. She made her last east coast appearance as Elvira at Chiller over the weekend.

She is only retiring the character at conventions because the costume is uncomfortable. She will still be making apperances as Cassandra Peterson in the future.

This came from her Facebook page over the weekend:
"Darling, darling, DARLING --- Don't freak out! I'm not going away, retiring or dying! Elvira's going to be around a LOT more on TV, Film and live shows I guar-own-tee! Just 'slipping into something more comfortable' to meet & greet you at Cons! And I promise I'll still wear something low-cut & ssssexy! Elvira can't wait to meet you today at Chiller and Comikaze in LA Nov 5 & 6. See ya there! XXXXXXXXX"
