Complete hype like most new games that aren't good

It took everything good out of a great series. It isn't even a bioshock game anymore, it's sad how many people are dick riding this POS. Graphics are 4 years old at best, combat is clunky and repetitive, upgrading over-simplified, no hacking, no lock-picking(well she does it for you, even more of a waste) No mini games, no real choice that affects the story. Pretty much dumbed down to a call of duty shooter.. Story?? Rescue a princess from the clouds, sounds like Mario bros to me.. A joke.. The twist?? Laughable.. Too many sci-fi nerds praising mediocrity, as they always do. Paid reviews can boast it up all they want, real gamers will see it for what it is, and people who don't know what games are anymore can have it, you deserve it:)

I very much liked it. However, I also feel that a script was brought to Irrational and they said "Hey, a few tweaks and we can slap a Bioshock label on this. It will triple sales."

I don't feel that way. If you watch one of the first gameplay videos from a couple years ago, while it was too scripted, it definite felt more 'bioshocky' than what we ended up with. Everybody was insane, the place was beat up, grittier, Elizabeth was more essential (she set up finishing moves for you), etc. I think they did some big soul searching after that because it ended up being totally different.

I didn't read a single review or trailer prior to playing this game (apart from that 2011 e3 vid). I avoided all news about it and played the game with a clear head. I think that's what you need to do. If you start believeing the hype, you have ridiculous expectations. I loved the game wholeheartedly. The way everything was weaved together was perfect. It has one of the greatest intros I've ever seen in a video game. I don't know why, but this game touched me more than most games released in the last few years. Seriously, Irrational did something special here.

Call me a fanboy all you want, I just don't give a fudge.

Everyone is entitled to there opinion,but this game was awesome! Clunky controls or u were just a clunky gamer? The story is overrated but still pretty solid.the graphics were very nice,although dated.the game is a 10,easily.just as good as the original and probably more fun to play.quit hating and go play spyro or something a little more ur speed
