My last checkpoint was just after I entered the Hall of Heroes, and just after I quit after getting to Fink's place (a good hour or so of play later), I find it hasn't saved since then! Fuming isn't the word!
Anyone else had this? It says it's been "Autosaving" and whatnot but there's just nothing past the HoH.
Not really... when I played, I made sure every time I quite the game and it said that if I was exiting the game that my last "autosave" was a certain time, that when I entered a certain area, say "Soldier's Field" or wherever, the 'autosave' would swirl in the corner, so when I did quit, the time-stamp would match when I quit so I wouldn't lose any progress such as ammo, money collected, or fight progression.
It's a shame there wasn't an opportunity to do a manual save, but the amount of auto-saves were generous enough that you didn't have to travel too far to forward or back to get one to generate.
They could've simply solved this by having maps like the first game. Have the checkpoints labeled so at least you know where to go if you want to save. Sometimes it's quicker to backtrack somewhere then move forward to a different checkpoint.
---- I'd love to see you in the moonlight with your head thrown back and your body on fire.
Hey guys, I haven't a clue what's up with it, but I realise my copy doesn't like loading the most recent checkpoint from the "Continue Game" option. Luckily though it stored it in the "Select Chapter" option. My bad for bothering you all so quickly!
I think it was *beep* that in my 360 version if you didn't "properly" quit out of the game, or turned the console off, you'd get thrown back...this happened about 4 times. It SAYS it's autosaving, you get delayed while doing so...stupid system that the thing just erases your progress because you didn't quit out "the right way".
