Did anyone else think that Elizabeth and Booker were going... (SPOILERS)

to be love interests? Throughout the game I'm wondering when the hell are they going to *beep* already. I guess it gave away that she was Booker's daughter all along. Then again Elizabeth was 17 I believe.

She was 19. I thought if they were going to go the love interest route it would be more like Portrait of Jennie then a conventional romance.

I was hopping we could kill her. And let her rot. Dumb girl.

I didn't the way they treated the relationship between Booker and Elizabeth, it felt more like mutual character growth for both of them without the crowbarred hetero-sexual romance angle most of our entertainment has to incorporate. It would also seem too creepy since he's roughly twice Elizabeth's age.

Since this seemed like a "Mario saving the princess" scenario, I thought that at first. But Booker seemed all-business for the most part. From a professional point of view, I wouldn't see him doing that even if she wasn't his daughter. Maybe if they ever got to Paris.

Also, I think if there was going to be a love interest, they would have made Elizabeth more sexy instead of a Disney princess. I don't think they were originally father/daughter because in the earlier videos she seemed more endowed so to speak.

I had also played Bioshock I and II and there has always been a father/protector dynamic in the game, so I did have some suspicions and wasn't about to look at her 'that way.'

To OP:

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. I didn't know Booker was 40 because he doesn't really seem that old and I didn't see his birth date until later in the game.

The relationship was quite confusing as I didn't know what they were going to be when they got to Paris. friends? Lovers? I just didn't know.

When I found out that they were father/daughter, I was thinking back to moments that they may have...uhh, gotten passionate. I really hope they didn't...
