Just finished this. Wow...Not a very happy ending is it?
I already knew about the spoilers when I brought this. In fact I had no intention of buying this. After playing Bioshock 2 I was put off big time. Needless to say I'm surprised to have found myself enjoying this game considering its flaws.
It was nice to play this and pay attention to all the detail and keeping eyes out for all the obviousness or hints of what was to come.
But seriously, the ending is like...DAMN! I feel bad and sad. I actually feel bad for Booker and Anna.
So Anna wasn't his wife? Or he named his daughter after his wife? And how did Elizabeth have powers to begin with?
And what's with the end credit sequence? A hint that history is repeating itself or that Booker didn't give his daughter up because the events of the future/memories of the dead Booker merged with the alive Booker in a alternative universe that caused him to not go through with giving his daughter up?
I hope the DLC coming out actually has it answer this. Maybe this time Booker fights Cromworth was it? and kills him and gets Anna back?
Seriously, I wish this game had a final boss battle and the sequences with Song Bird were a waste. Nothing like in the early gameplay videos. Was looking forward to that. Having like epic moments where you're chasing him down and fighting him by hiding or using airships.
And I wish Cromsworth had maybe been slightly younger so we could've gotten a fight scene with him. I wonder if the storyline was the same when the original one was a younger man.
It was a good game but I think the original version they were making sounded better. Hmm.
