Anyone else have the game spoiled for them...SPOILERS.

I did and it sucks. I was on Youtube watching Conan do a "Clueless Gamer" review of Tomb Raider. Which is really funny by the way if anyone wants to check it out. And someone commented about wanting him to do Bioshock saying how much he would perv out over Elizabeth, and someone with a made up account as Booker Dewitt said they should shut up thats my daughter

reply

That sucks, but they did not spoil the ending for you. You you can still play it and be surprised

I've made the stupid mistake of clicking on a "Bioshock Infinite ... in 5 seconds"-video on some gaming sites.

I *thought* it had spoiled the game for me until I finished the game and found that it didn't *really*... the video showed a brief glimpse of the Rapture-sequence during the finale, which led me to believe that you'd end up there somehow or that Booker would be connected to Jack or to Andrew Ryan in some way.

I tried to & successfully steered clear of any spoiler sites & videos. As tempted as I was because anyone & everyone was posting new information such as IGN, Gamespot, Gametrailers, YouTube... you name it always had/have new information about BioShock since it's the "IN" game, and it's finally one game that I actually have NOW which is rare since I usually wait until they drop in price.

However, I was still working on it, slowly taking my time & enjoying the playing experience. Finally just finished it... spoiler free and now can look for those archived articles for all its worth, which is nice.

It's like blowing up a balloon to the maximum, getting no more air until finally you can pop it.

I thankfully steered clear of spoilers until after I had finished the game. I thought I had been spoiled, as I read a comment from someone claiming that Elizebeth dies at the end of the game, but thankfully that turned out to be a lie.

reply

Actually craig-353, Elizabeth does die. I mean the version of Elizabeth you went through the game with dies...

The actual Elizabeth (Anna) is shown in what I assume to be the 'correct world,' at the end of the credits as a baby...

Before I finished the game I accidentally saw a screenshot of the multiple Elizabeths. That got my mind going in a cloning direction though, lol.

I thought I got spoiled when I was reading the top comments of a PMI game review that states " Booker kills Elizabeth because he was hired by Cromshock"

but thank god it was fake.

It was ruined for me on the video games board of this site.
Still a little bitter about it.

But the execution was still amazing.

I was doing a good job of avoiding spoilers, until the boyfriend one day said "You know, it's a bit creepy that they have Elizabeth dress like that when she's your daughter."

I ended up hitting him in the leg a few times for that.

This is why I never see any preview gameplay, trailers,or read preview articles. I love the excitement and wonder when seeing a game for the first time without ever being shown anything pior to playing it. It happened with Far Cry 3 as I only saw the E3 demo, and a tv spot,I think I also saw a trailer but thats it,and I was totally amazed when I played it. With Bioshock, I saw the first trailer, and the many demos of it but since pretty much half of it didnt appear in the final game, it didnt mean much, and I was totally amazed by the game and overall its just amazing and brilliant. I hate when I just go on gaming site for a few second and theres already articles about the game's ending or plot details,as well as going to see other videos that are not related to the game and being spoiled by some stupid prick's coments of the game.

That sucks, the only thing that spoiled for me was the same as you but it was on tumblr. But even with that spoiled the rest of the story still has it's twists.

Fortunately, I preordered and finished the game within 2 days, so there was no way to spoil it for me.

reply

Yeah, I did. Mostly because I spoiled it myself - I hate FPS's and didn't think I was going to buy the game. I pretty much knew everything that happens at the end from reading stuff except for a couple of things including what happens to booker (read a YouTube comment about it that was posted on the DLC video, bloody hell!)
