The Next Bioshock Question....

Where do you guys think the next location could be if we even get a next game, fingers crossed we do as i love the whole series. Bioshock 1 for setting and atmosphere and infinte for one the best stories in modern gaming. Im kinda thinking maybe a city in the arctic set around 1930s maybe but i think it would be a bit boring but it is really all i can thik of. What about you guys where would you like it to be set or think it is going to be set.

Could be in an underground city

reply

Yea that sounds like a pretty cool idea.

reply

It'll be an underwater city... IN SPACE!

Then at the end of the game you find yourself at the beginning of System Shock 2.

sth128: Seems very likely - but let's not forget the twist. You will play the role of a man who went into the future to kill his son that came from an alternative dimension in order to heal his transgendered daughter.

By the way, the gameplay this time will be rather similar to 'doom' and the game will probably get 11 out of 10 because it has bioshock in it - all batman fans will be drooling for years to come.

City on the moon set in 2090.

OHHH GOOOD FOR YOU!!

Victorian Era. Like the mid 1800's. Charles Babbage's computational engine is realized and the computer age arrives a century early. Big Steampunkish sorta thing. Maybe set in the American West, with steam driven mecha

Read "The Difference Engine" for some idea how the world would be.

The villainess is a woman named Rebecca Suarez. A woman who shows up out of nowhere and helps Babbage's dream become reality, founding Triop Medical and introduces a new medical science called "Flesh Mechanics". What is her goal and how does her proposed revolutionary new computational engine, the Steamdriven Heuritically Optimized Data Analysis Node fit into it?

At the behest of a mysterious woman who only identifies herself as Anne, an American gunslinger and bounty hunter from the Republic of Texas must journey to a derelict lighthouse, which leads to a subterrain, steam driven city called Victoria, There he must fight steam driven automotons, hybrids of flesh and clockwork, and perversions of biology thanks to special Snake-Oils powered by Powders, granting them arcane powers.

But more is at stake than the fate of the world. The very fabric of reality hangs in the balance, for Rebecca has her own visions of the future. One she imperiled personally. Twice.

Bioshock Mobius: Time will tell. Time has told. Time... will change.

I would play dat game no problem. You dont secretly work for 2K and have spoiled us all by any chance lol. Great story, write a book and send me it lol. Sounds very interesting.

reply

Well, I wanted to tie System Shock into the overall story too.

reply

I think they'll try and have the next one in space. How they do that exactly and what the premise will be, I have no idea but I still think it will happen. Where else would/could they go except underground?

reply

I have to agree with you, and I'm actually looking forward to seeing what kind of city they can build in either space or underground, and what architectural style they might use, steampunk and dieslpunk have to be crossed out. Maybe a mooncity with an 80s retro-future could be cool.....actually....that sounds like Blood Dragon....

reply

It will be set in between bioshock 1 and 2. You play an operative of the United States government that beats the Soviet Union to Rapture. Both The United States and The Soviet Union want to use the technology of rapture to create weapons for The Cold War.

reply

I think the Von Braun will crash into Rapture (in the future of course)
Ryan and Comstock will spit-roast Shodan, and a bearded baby will be born called Ken Levine, who will travel back in time via a tear to develop some awesome games, and it will all be one big time loop, but in the end they will all turn out to have been dead all along.

FAST N BULBOUS!
