Stephen Russell should've stayed the voice of Booker

Stephen Russell, voice of Garrett in the Thief series... was robbed!

They used him merely as a placeholder voice for early trailers, but he would've been fantastic as the final voice of Booker DeWitt!

On one hand, I don't care much for Russell's voice or performance. Sounds kinda... I dunno, "nerdy" isn't the right word. But kinda milquetoast.

On the other, Troy Baker is one of the most generic and ubiquitous voice actors these days, he's becoming the new Nolan North. Kinda tired of hearing him.

I do think Russel would have been interesting. He seems to have a rougher, raspier edge to his voice, while Baker's voice sounds like "generic hero".

In fact, I felt like there was a mismatch between Baker's voice and his vernacular. Every time he used bad grammar I winced because it sounded so forced.

This, coupled with the fact that Baker sounds absolutely NOTHING like Comstock, not even in accent, even tear damage would not account for that. Russel sounds a bit more like him.

"Rougher"? I hear nothing rough in his voice. I'd say he sounds wimpier. More nasal. More like a tax accountant than an ex-Pinkerton.

Haha awesome, I kept thinking Booker reminded me a lot of Garrett while I was playing.

Russell better be back for Thief 4.

You're the funniest thing I seen since Biter chewed off that Septa's teats - Rorge
