boring

I tried this game since it was free with games with gold on xbox live, and for the first couple hours it had next to nothing to interest me in it, is anyone else bored with this? some of the graphics looked cheap too, like the bushels of food, like they didn't put any real work into that, I might expect that on ps1, but this console can handle better than that

someone for the love of god please show a little mercy and kill me

This is a type of game where you have to take it slow. Try walking around and read the posters on the wall, look for all the voxaphones and listen to them, etc.my friend thought it was boring too, he was just running from objective to objective totally bypassing all the little details that truly make this game great.

If you want endless, balls to the wall action.
Then no, this game is not for you.

Just like the original BioShock.
This is a slow burner and more about a great story and amazing characters.
Plus this game has one of the best and most rewarding game endings ever that'll have you scratching your head trying to work it all out.

That's not to say these games do not have any good action, cos they do.
It's just the focus is more on the plot/story and characters.

And so, God came forth and proclaimed widescreen is the best.

Except that's what this game mostly is, as well as the original.

They're fun for FPS games, but that's still what they are. You go from point A to point B shooting things. Sure there are tapes to listen to and posters to stare at. That can be said of most FPS games, cept' substitute "tapes" for "actual people in front of you". 90% of the game is still shooting.

yeah its kinda weird that someone would act like Bioshock infinite is the type of game where you go around slow and take your time when it definitely is not lol.

Series' like fallout (3, new vegas, etc.) or elder scrolls (oblivion, skyrim, etc.) are games that you take slow and take your time reading things. They have an open world with tons of side quests that relate to the main story and your choices make a difference. Another example would be the Mass Effect series.

Bioshock infinite is actually the opposite. You have very little choice to explore, and most rooms contain little more than health/ammo with the occassional (and forgettable) upgrade.

There's no real sense of urgency or anything either as health kits, ammo caches, and super inexpensive shops (to buy supplies at) are basically everywhere. Without the arrow to tell you what direction to go its pretty easy to get lost and go in circles too seeing as basically every area you go to is just a rehashed version of the same colour schemes and design types in each "new" area lol

This is one of those games that casual gamers that have beaten maybe 2 or 3 games in their life, see as a masterpiece because it was so linear, easy, and simple (and therefore fun for the casual/unskilled gamer). The don't realize what a game can offer these days, so they think this makes the cut as a masterpiece since they did not often feel frustrated while playing.

If you find this game boring, it because you know games and have seen it all before too many times. There is nothing in this game that warrants a second playthrough either. That is basically blasphemy as there isnt even an online element to it.

The story is forgettable too. If a game cant pull you into the story without having to find, stop and listen to audio files, then its done wrong. It means they added the story as an afterthought.

There are elements that trick casual gamers into thinking this game is unique. Like the underused skyline. It is barely used, and you could go through the game and only use it a dozen times, but the fact that its there, tricks noobs into thinking its "fun" or "unique" lol.
