How do many famous actors agree to be in this..

piece of *beep* ???

The trailer was so good, and charming in some subtle ways. I loved it but when I watched the movie, the first few mins the movie started, I knew the whole movie would be going on a different path from the trailer that I had seen and it clearly did!

How come the actors agreed to be in this movie? I mean, there were so many famous actors in this, I'm like 'Woah, did they bribe them or something?'. It's unbelievable, but comedy like Pitch Perfect I can understand if there are celebrities who eagerly want to be a part of it because, on a majority vote, it's one of the best comedy movies in these last few years.

And in an instant, I remembered a movie five years ago named Bachelorette, acted by Kristen Dunst, Isla Fisher, Rebel Wilson and Lizzy Caplan.

Same thing, awesome trailer but an awful movie.

Desperately want to kill the people who disgrace us.

Suicide Squad is another movie that failed to charm us with its beautifulness shown as in the trailer.

3/10 just because I love Jennifer Aniston's character in the movie and a few true LOL moments.

Basically, for the paycheck or some sort of deal with their agents or something.

As for Pitch Perfect, we can disagree about that one. I thought that movie was outright god awful.

I enjoyed PP...PP 2 was hmmmm, ok....3 will be awful

reply

Well, thanks for that.

Haha, for the PP.. I said on a majority vote.

Aniston and Bateman worked with the directors before and say they like working with one another so maybe they all are friendly and wanted to work with each other again. For the rest it's an easy paycheck. I mean all they had to do was play themselves, say a few stupid lines each, and then cash in. That's mostly where the budget for this went into clearly.

Trying to create a channel based on interpreting, reviewing, and even giving you something to laugh about film. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance.

it looks like one of those movies that are really fun to work on, but the fun the actors and crew probably had doesn't really translate on the screen. so if i were an actress, i'd be happy to be in a movie like this, but i can't say i enjoyed it as a viewer.

but you're losing a lot of credibility claiming Pitch Perfect to be one of the best comedy movies in the last few years ;)

Yeah, maybe too.

Haha, then tell me, give me a few movies that had you LOL in the range of 2012-now...

Mine's Pitch Perfect 1, Pitch Perfect 2, The Brothers' Grimsby.

But The Grimsby doesn't have a lot of fans whereas PP is the another way around (majority vote). So many teenagers love this kind of movie and we find 'em funny and they really worked their asses off to find the jokes by going through our social life. What I'm saying is that it is suitable in this era to watch, but it will be nothing for the next 10 years (Me and my friends just don't find Mean Girls funny anymore).

sorry, i didn't mean it in a mean way ;) i didn't LOL at Pitch Perfect much but still kinda enjoyed it. to each their own, i don't judge people by their tastes (i like a LOT of stuff other people don't enjoy!)
i haven't watched too many movies in the last years (i prefer TV shows) and especially the comedies seem to be getting weaker and weaker. where's the 90ies and 00ies classics like Loaded Weapon 1, Scary Movie 1-4 (yeah, i enjoyed the 4th one!), the Tom Hanks comedies from the 80ies? ;) it used to be a different kind of humor and i enjoyed these movies more than the recent ones (i probably sound like i'm 40 but i'm 29. which is kinda old movie-wise, too, i guess)

off the top of my head, without being 100% sure they fit in the timeframe you mentioned, what comes to mind is... not much LOL there haven't been many memorable comedies i watched, so maybe Pitch Perfect deserves to be on top of the charts. i enjoyed Bridesmades and many people didn't like it, while they all thought the Hangover was hilarious and i found it to be pretty meh.

Hangover was okay but Bridesmaids was excellent and I'm the only like the latter in my family, cause we're Asian and most of us, they don't get the jokes made by America.

I'm like, 'Yo! Can you at least laugh out loud once?' Cause in almost every comedy movie, they just don't get it.
