SUCH a funny, talented, accomplished cast

Between Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Olivia Munn, Kate McKinnon, Vanessa Bayer, Jillian Bell, Courtney B. Vance, T.J. Miller, Rob Corddry, Randall Park, Jamie Chung, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Fortune Feimster, Sam Richardson, this film must have ONE of the most accomplished comedic ensembles ever.

And yet even with all these hilarious actors and actresses, the film couldn't get past the "bland, unfunny, predictable, cliched studio comedy" phase. I'm not even putting this on the script or the director because the concept was actually rather strong and super-relatable, the exact hook that is required for a big comedy hit - and money, well that this film can still make, I'm sure - but for some reason the whole thing just felt rushed af. Maybe if they spent more time in post-production, it could have been actually a good/great comedy but in it's current form, its only saving grace is a kick-ass (literally) Aniston and certain line deliveries courtesy of the aforementioned, supremely talented cast.

10/5

I thought it was great

In other words, this is yet another mainstream raunch comedy made by filmmakers who didn't try or even give a damn.

Not sure if sarcastic.. 😜

I saw it tonight and laughed my a** off - and I'm hard to please.

I saw it last night and am also hard to please - and I laughed very hard. Maybe this kind of humour isn't for you?

I loved the cast. All of them, not a straggler in there.

a "kick ass" Jennifer Aniston is the movies only saving grace? Thats sure is a cringe worthy statement right there, she is absolutely dreadful I can't stand her in anything.

Yes!

Who says things like that?

Well, that was rhetorical. My neighbor talks like that. He's a huge, smelly, potato-chip eatin, Walmart shoppin, food-stained shirt wearin, inbred-Jed of the worst kind.

So ya, that's the kind of person who says things like that.

They also call any given piece of equipment "this bad boy", and can be seen in jean shorts. And THAT, is truly kick ass!

Yeah, yeah, whatever. So you didn't like it and didn't think it was funny. It's all about taste - comedy is super subjective anyway. Tons of people are saying they laughed their a$$e$ off so there you go. To each their own.

I agree with Peter. I usually really enjoy this type of movie, and with Jason Bateman, who is really good in comedies, I expected to like this movie. It just wasn't funny to me - and as I said, I love a good raunchy comedy. With the 5.7 stars it currently has, I guess Peter and I aren't alone.

Yeah, I saw this in a mostly empty theater and maybe every once in a while someone would give a little chuckle. Kinda pathetic really. I'd be interested to see how it plays to a big crowd but really the main thing here is the script is pretty terrible and the cast has to do most of the heavy lifting. I got bored with it after like half hour.

Trying to create a channel based on interpreting, reviewing, and even giving you something to laugh about film. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance.
