FOR ANYONE THAT WATCHED IT

I'm questioning a lot if I should go watch this movie when it comes out (from where I'm from it's only out in a week) or if I should watch it online when it comes out.

For anyone who as watched it just a few questions:
- did you think it was funny and stayed cohesive or was it one of those comedies where it feels like a bunch of random jokes put together randomly to "be funny"
- without spoilers, how were the performances from the main cast
- what did you think of the script

I have to admit that the ONLY reason I'm considering going to see is is for Jennifer Aniston. 😍

And the fact that I can go to an uncrowded matinee, sit in a wide, fully reclining power leather seat, and oh, all for just $5.00.

It is a bawdy comedy with juvenile gags tossed in a standard plot line (we have all seen it before). If that's what you are looking for you will enjoy it (I did). If you want heady and thoughtful go see Arrival.
Most of the characters were well cast for the role - Aniston as the shrew CEO, Miller as the goofball brother but the heart of his division, Bateman as the real leader of the company and Munn as the nerd tech (reprising her Newsroom type role). McKinnon talents are very underutilized and Courtney B. Vance stole the movie.

thanks! it really looks like one of those movies that people will either love or hate but I'll give it a chance. It wont be an outstanding movie for sure but it isnt meant to be

If you liked the Hangover, you will probably like this. Maybe not as quality, but it is the same template where the events become increasingly outrageous and a similar sense of humor.

For me, there is enough "heart" so that it is not just a bunch of crazy antics. I liked the TJ Miller/Aniston relationship and the Bateman/Munn relationship.

Bateman plays a version of his Bluth character, but still amazing and charming.
TJ Miller and Kate McKinnon are hilarious
I'm not a die-hard Aniston fan, but this is one of my favorite roles she has done! Sort of against type.
Courtney B Vance - hahaha
Olivia Munn - just ok
Some good supporting bits

Third act takes a weird direction, but all the "office" segments are funny.

I found it average at best. Considering the amount of actors who are well known for their comedic ability, this movie IMO did not live up to any of its potential. I blame the script rather than the actors.

Also, I don't feel like it was really a Christmas movie. It could've been set at any time of the year and would still be the same tired gags.

Think, McFly. Think!

I recently watched it and I totally agree. The performances were good enough (in general) but the script wasnt that great and the jokes just werent funny. Comedies really failed this year for me
