Good Ending
I really enjoyed the series finale. I also appreciate that the creators decided to show us what happened to them after the fact.

shareLoved the song choice. And dang, I was totally tearing up. One of the best finales ever.
shareLoved the song choice. And dang, I was totally tearing up.Yeah, once I heard the music and saw where the ending piece was going, I suddenly burst out a few tears unexpectedly. I'm not sure of many TV shows I've done that for.
Now that's how you end a good show like this!
shareI started watching this with my daughter when it first aired and she was 5. We watched it together throughout the years. I bought her the plush toys, a Mordecai hat and a couple T shirts. She is now 11 and after watching tonight's finale, it was the first time I've seen her cry about a TV show or movie. Kudos to the creators for making such a great show Me and my daughter could share together and ending it so well.
shareLooks like our daughters our the same age, as mine also started watching when she was 5 (she's 12 now). I had DVR'd the series finale and me, my 16 year old son and 12 year old daughter got around to watching it last night...we all got a tad choked up, but my daughter got the most emotional....she was bothered by Pops dying but moreso when at the very end when Pops was watching it on VHS the whole time and his "jolly good show" exclamation...it was a sad moment, but a GOOD ending to a cartoon show that definitely was hip and different.

Im gonna punch you in the cooter, I swear to God!
That was a great way to end the show. It was bittersweet using a song by the late David Bowie.
shareI know, they really packed in a lot in those last 3 minutes. (The Maellard statues hit me hard) I thought the Format Wars was gonna be one last filler, but nope.
Kinda weird that Rigby didn't seem to have any real career afterwards, maybe he had one offscreen... but whatever, he's happy. Everybody is.
It was an incredibly moving series finale, those are rare, let alone exist at all in an all-ages series. I highly applaud JG Quintel and his cast and crew for 6 years of a hilariously random (but sometimes poignant) series with a lovable cast.
I've never related more to a bunch of cartoon characters than Mordecai, Rigby and Benson, and not just because I worked a number of summers in park maintenance. They're just guys. And I'll miss them. But they got the ending they deserved, and no more be said. Thank you.
As Pops said, jolly good show.
(P.S. gimme dat complete series boxset too)

I didn't like that Mordecai and Margaret didn't end up together.
