why would aerosol antibiotics affect dead people?
Unless it worked topically why did they want to aerosol the antibiotics? They planned to do it after they discovered that the infected people had no pulse.

shareI see where you're coming from, but you might as well have asked why any antibiotics would have worked period if they didn't have a pulse.
However, the infected did in fact make noises coming from their mouths, so they did breathe the martian atmosphere. The non-infected crew also checked the pulse of the infected skipper right after he died; not before he had fully transformed, so the sample size is too small to assume a pulse didn't resume after the full transformation.
