Dude, plenty of white people die before the end.

And the 'Murican saving the day??? he didn't anyone or anything. he's even most likely infected. That's a 100% failure rate, short of the communication back to Earth as a warning.

I believe she was Indian anyway, just very dark complected. And he didn't save much of anything, except perhaps for warning the station of the danger.
