Did you see it in theatre?
No, rented it on bluray.
The only reason why I even saw the scene was because the movie was still running on my htpc and I forgot to turn it off.
The last scene is pretty trivial, but still it's a scene.

you're right, I just checked my retail I bought, there's no extra scene.
I guess the rental must have screwed up or something, I never saw the airport scene in the begining instead it played after the credits.
On the retail everything works just fine.
Damn rentals!
Sorry guys!!

The bought version is different from the rental?
My rental had an extra scene after the credits:
Willem Dafoe's character is living near the airport again. He takes a bath and submerges himself completely in the water. Then we see the whole black and white clip of the tiger. The post-credits scene is only about a minute long.
I found the extra scene because I thought it was a bit weird that the movie was only at 1:35 out of 1:44 when the subtitles started. 9 minutes of subtitles for this type of movie just seemed a bit too much...
sharelol weird that you say you were wrong about there being an extra scene, and yet my copy (and someone else in this thread) saw the extra scene after the movie (of Willem Dafoe back at the airport, taking a bath - completely submerging himself in water - followed by the entire black and white clip of the tiger).
shareThat is just an error on the disc. It was on my bluray as well, but it was clearly the exact same scene from the beginning, just without sound.
shareIt couldn't have been an error:
Willem Dafoe's character is living near the airport again. He takes a bath and submerges himself completely in the water (I don't remember him doing that in the beginning, but it's possible). Then we see the whole black and white clip of the tiger. The post-credits scene is only about a minute long. There was no entire tiger clip in the beginning of the movie.
On my bluray the movie starts with this exact scene of him being in an airport hotel, taking a bath and looking out the window. Then after that scene, the black and white tiger scene is shown for the first time, and then Dafoe is at the airport meeting the two guys..
The clip at the end is of those first two scenes, just without the sound. I just saw it as an error or something..
The airport+tiger scene happened first for me, and I rented it off Google Play. It also makes sense that this is the intro to the film, not the ending. If it were the ending... it shows him poignant and isolated, rather than happy with the kid.
