When the little girl, Sass, said (referring to the house's generator):
"My dad said that the f---ing f---er's totally f---ed."
For a second I was stunned into silence, then I burst into laughter!

It was a laugh, but also suddenly the dad existed as an echo .....
shareHe did indeed - this and other small things dropped by the kids gave him presence. The picture - "Is that a monkey face?" - on the aircleaner cover on the genset was another that spoke something of Jarrah and his relationship with the boy.
