The importance of music in movies

Certain music or songs can really draw out the atmosphere of a movie. What comes to mind immediatly is in Mr. Nobody they used Otis Redding's For Your Precious Love and the opening scene of Werkmiester Harmonies. The most beautiful scene in this film is orchestrated beautifully around Bruce Springsteen's I'm On Fire when the mother awakes to find out her husband has not miraculously risen. The scene was emotional and electric. Phenomenal display of importance of music in film.

Was thinking the exact same thing during that scene. Can't have a good movie without the right music.

Just watched it on Netflix, 4th time in all watching it. Great movie. Fantastic scenery. And yes, music was great......especially the scene with "I'm On Fire" playing.
