So I'm a little tired of Jim's roles not being main characters in movies. He's an awesome on the big bang theory. So anyway does anyone know what his role is in this movie?

He's too good, too funny and too much of a great character...no matter what he does.
Soon enough.... wait till "The Normal Heart" comes out. He has to show a little range, but I'm sure he he is capable of breaking away from tv, into the mainstream like Jim Carey did.

I agree with you. However, Jim's been taking on some pretty innocuous roles outside of TBBT. His broadway role of Harvey had a limited run and I called and emailed the company for a DVD, blu-ray or digital download and they said they don't do that. I said "take my money, it's Jim effing Parsons". "Nope", she replied. He steals any show he's on - I mean the majority of us wouldn't have stuck with TBBT without him. The cast is great, but ain't no Sheldon.
Maybe he feels like it's too risky to go outside of his Sheldon character. We view him as Sheldon - because he's so good at it. Maybe he's afraid of stepping too far outside his amazing character. It's not unheard of. Maybe he wants TBBT to end before he dares to change roles. It could weaken his character - at least in his mind.
It's like going on a streak as a baseball player and wearing that lucky wristband. I really want Parsons to challenge himself by taking a lead role in something. He's a bit of an enigma and maybe he wants to keep it that way.
