How big is the whale in this movie ? it looks enormous . In the movie from 1956 the whale was supposed to be around 85 feet .

My father was paying attention when they said it was 500 feet long.

Yep, 500 feet. Dr. Herman calculates it to be 400 feet, then is corrected by the crew; "more like 500."

It took me a while to stop laughing when you compared this to a real movie.
