I came here to find out where this series was filmed. Love the countryside. Also love the series which I get here in America. It's on Saturday evenings on Ch. 21 and repeated one day during the week. Hope this goes on forever !!!!!

For a nice passing view, the train from Newcastle to Edinburgh along the ocean is a great ride. Even if you have no reason to GO to Edinburgh! LOL
Getting off along the way and walking around Berwick Upon Tweed is also worthwhile for the scenery.
That whole area is so magnificent, I could get lost there and never be found and be quite happy.
Folks were concerned that "Shetland" might steal some of the "Vera" magnificent scenery and atmosphere impact. But it does not seem they did. Folks are still flocking to "Vera."
I have been to Northumberland lots of times. To me it's one of the most beautiful places in the world!
