I have watched Vera since it started and have always wondered where in Northumberland Vera's house is. Can anyone help?

There is a claim here

that it is Tod-le-Moor Cottages, near Whittingham, Northumberland, England. I can't find a photo though to check it and there doesn't seem to be street view of the area in Google Maps.

I like the idea of living in a house like hers in a remote location. Meanwhile, my inner interior decorator just wants to renovate that place and bring it up to code. I don't mean to modernise her house - heaven forbid! - just spruce it up a bit while keeping all the rustic charm. Ugh! I've been watching way too many of those home improvement shows.
