I get it she's bummed her husband has to always work but come on, every scene that she's in is her being pissed off about something. I really liked Joe, sad he's gone but good riddance to the wife.....

I don't think the dinners went very smooth. I believe they were quite awkward for Joe and Vera. She unintentionally upset Vera on at least one of the dinners.
I do think she made an effort but she seemed to either put her foot in it or get pissed off. I like the actress I blame the writers they chose to make her the stereo typical nagging wife.
For some reason, Joe's wife's accent is the only one in the show that gets on my nerves. I don't know British accents well enough to tell if it's a good one or a bad one, all I know is that it's grating. I enjoy listening to everyone else, though.
