I loved the movie, and that kind of endings is always fun to discuss with others - however, I just want to point out something in the movie I found-- strange and funny.

In the bathroom scene when Florence is taking a bath, she felt like someone was watching her - and she thought it was Robert. She got up and dropped the towel before she approached the peephole, and talked to "Robert". But, it shows that it is actually Tom's ghost on the other side- and she runs after him.

Soo.. Were Tom watching his halfsister go nude- Or was it simply just a way to create a jumpscare? ;)

It was Tom. Remember Tom was watching her when she was watching Robert--i.e. the doll house. The funny part is she knew the peep hole was there so why would she undress to get in the tub to begin with? With that, obviously, being a general purpose bathroom, shouldn't she have actually said something? I guess we know what those young boys were doing, hunh? lol

All of the boys were gone remember? No one else would have been going in there for her to have to had said something. How else would she get a bath if she didn't undress? LOL I think maybe Robert was watching her for a moment because he was in that room but the Tom came and scared her. Remember Maud said she sent Tom to scare her a few times? That was one of those times. I don't think he was sneaking a peek at his sister.

I would have just covered up (or plugged) the damn peep hole with the clothes I was changing out of. Not hard to do! I was nervous to see her do something about the peep hole in that scene. When she walked up to it instead, I was like, oh okay then I guess you've made your choice, haven't you Florence?

Saw that jumpscare coming from a mile away LOL... it was just for jumpscare value. Peepholes in horror movies never end well. I was surprised as it was that they didn't put a jumpscare straight across Dominic West's bare behind just to be like GOTCHA.

Awesome scene.

Rebecca Hall is free to watch me get a bath anytime and if she would like me to peep on her, I'd be glad to.
