I saw The Normal Heart
on stage in London when it was still a current play. I loved it so much I bought a book of the play. I found the movie boring and preachy. I'll have to track down the book to find out what kind of changes were made. I remember more humor in the play. I don't know if it is the adaptation or me. I was disappointed. But I don't think they could have made the play into a film and kept it the same.
