This looked like a forest in Europe. I don't think their currency would be dollars?

Tax dollars are handed out all over the place when it comes to making movies and TV shows, not just states handing out money, but also the governments of countries. Just look at the ending credits of any movie and you'll likely see some mention of a state or country, the producers of the movie don't do that because they love the state or country they do it because that state or country gave them tax dollars to help fund the movie.
